Our History
Founded in 1979, Marketing Assessment Inc. (MAI) is dedicated to representing our partners with honesty, integrity, and professionalism. We support the warfighter by ensuring access to the highest-quality medical products that enable exceptional care for rapid return to duty. We achieve this by equipping our strategic partners with the critical information they need to develop and deliver these solutions. As a trusted government contractor, MAI holds multiple contract vehicles, providing our federal partners with streamlined, reliable access to our products and services.
At MAI, we specialize in bridging the gap between the soldier and industry. By connecting the needs of military medical professionals with the resources of federal agencies and industry we ensure that innovative, high-quality products are accessible where they’re needed most.

Examples:
2010 – Awarded Vibration Mitigation Research Grant for the US Army to provide an Industry Survey of Current and Emerging Shock and Vibration Mitigation Technologies for Patient Transport.
2011 – Awarded US Army Contract for Assessment of Current and Emerging Shock and Vibration Mitigation Technologies for Patient Transport
Appointed to represent the US Army and the United States on the RTG-184 and NATO UAV (ISO) working group
2012 – Awarded US Army Contract for research on Vibration Criteria for Transport of Patients with Head and Spine Injury Utilizing Injured Porcine Model
2013 – Received NATO Scientific Achievement Award – HFM-184 STO Task Group on “Safe Ride Standards for Patient Evacuation Using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles UAVs”
2014 – Through our initiative, USAMMDA awarded a contract to Abbott Laboratories (our partner) through a joint effort (private/public partnership) to develop a mild/moderate TBI assay to be used on the I-Stat platform.
2021 – Clinical trials begin to determine clinical utility
2023 – FDA clears I-Stat TBI plasma test
2024 – FDA clears I-Stat TBI whole blood test.
2025 – I-Stat TBI whole blood cartridge is available for sale on the I-Stat Alinity platform.
2025 – Introduced technology to provide the ability to produce cold (field ice) utilizing a dry, lightweight, and environmentally friendly product to treat muscular skeletal injuries, inflammation, thermal compromise, or to simply support the cold supply chain.
